ESB Supporting Ireland’s Communities
ESB seeks to empower and enrich the lives of individuals and communities across Ireland through our corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. We offer our support through grants, sponsorship, partnerships and knowledge transfer from our staff to individuals and communities.
ESB Energy for Generations Fund
Over the past 10 years, we have awarded approximately €10million through the ESB Energy for Generations Fund to community-based projects around Ireland. These projects are primarily in the areas of educational disadvantage, suicide prevention and homelessness.
For educationally disadvantaged areas, ESB supports a number of organisations including TechSpace, an initiative that encourages young people to express themselves through technology. We also support An Cosán Virtual Community College, Fighting Words, a creative writing centre for children and Business in the Community’s Time to Read Programme.

ESB Wind Farm Community Fund
Our wind farm community fund aims to encourage stronger interaction and engagement with communities living in the vicinity of our wind farms. We do this by supporting projects that are aligned with local needs and opportunities. Approximately €1million is awarded annually via our nominated grant making organisations.
