Electric Ireland announced today (10th February, 2015) that it has been chosen by Smyths Toys Superstores to supply electricity to 28 of its stores throughout Ireland. The 12-month contract is worth in excess of €1 million and is supplying enough power to supply over 1,600 homes. 

Under the contract Electric Ireland will supply the stores in the Republic, as well as those in Northern Ireland and reinforces Electric Ireland’s competitive offering to the Business Customer.

Energy efficiency is important to Smyths Toys Superstores and Electric Ireland will also be providing them with energy efficiency audit support in an attempt to help to drive cost-savings and energy efficiency for them in the months to come.

Announcing the contract today, Electric Ireland’s Customer Relationship Manager Vincent Litchfield said: “We are pleased to have been chosen by Smyths Toys Superstores to partner with them on an all-Ireland basis. The retail sector is an important area for Electric Ireland and with 2015 expected to be another busy year for this sector, we are happy to be part of powering this growth.”

Electric Ireland is the supplier of choice for businesses across Ireland and has contracts with over half of the SME’s in the Republic and is growing its presence in NI.
