ESB Networks have continued to restore power this morning, approximately 22,000 customers remain without supply, a small number of which are due to Storm Brian. Customers who experience a new service interruption should report it on esbnetworks.ie or call 1850 372 999.

A Met Éireann Status Orange wind warning has been issued for seven coastal counties, including Cork and Wexford, will hamper restoration efforts. Should the weather conditions worsen further, our crews will be stood down until it is safe to resume repairs again. Winds speeds up to 130 km/h will cause outages to customers in Mayo, Galway, Clare, Kerry, Cork, Waterford and Wexford on Saturday. Any new service interruptions should be reported on esbnetworks.ie or 1850 372 999.

Important Public Safety Message: If you come across fallen wires or damaged electricity network, never, ever touch or approach these as they are LIVE and extremely dangerous. Please report any damage to electricity infrastructure by calling 1850 372 999.

ESB Networks is acutely aware of the tremendous difficulties and frustrations of communities in areas that remain without power. We sincerely apologise to those affected and we ask the public to reach out to those in their communities that are without supply.

ESB Networks continue to update estimated restoration times for families, farms and businesses remaining without power, available on the PowerCheck App and on www.esbpowercheck.ie. Individual estimated restorations times continue to be available to customers by calling 1850 372 999, hitting option one when prompted. They will then be advised when we expect to restore power to their home or business.  The same service is also available on: https://esbnetworks.ie/apps/faultlogging/CheckStatus#. For both services, callers will need their 11-digit MPRN to hand – which is on the top left hand corner of every electricity bill.

Having assessed the extent of damage to the network in given area, these times are the best available estimation by our engineers and network technicians of when electricity supply will be restored. It is an estimated timeframe and is subject to on-going review and change, but times are becoming more accurate as progress on restoration continues.
