New, fast chargers installed in Cahersiveen, Dingle and Killarney
ESB has completed the installation of several new EV charging sites in key tourist areas across Co Kerry. This work is part of the group’s significant investment in upgrading and expanding the network across the island of Ireland, cementing its commitment providing a best-in-class offering for the increasing number of EV drivers.
Cahersiveen on the Ring of Kerry sees two new chargers installed, including a high power (150kW) charger at SuperValu capable of delivering a 100km charge within six minutes.
EV users can also benefit from two new chargers in the Dingle area including a high-power charger at a new dedicated EV site at Moran's Texaco Service Station, Mail Rd. This will augment the recently upgraded charger at Marina Car Park in the town.
In Killarney, the new EV site at Daly's SuperValu features two double-sided, high-power chargers which can charge four vehicles simultaneously and again will deliver a 100km charge in just six minutes. Furthermore, ESB's existing public charging infrastructure in Tralee have been upgraded to 150kW and 50kW chargers.
These upgrades are part of a €20 million investment programme to expand and enhance the charging network across Ireland which is part funded by the Government’s Climate Action Fund.
