"At ESB, we are committed to building and sustaining a diverse workforce with a culture of inclusion, equity and belonging. Maintaining an environment where people can be themselves, thrive and feel connected to our purpose is essential to delivering Net Zero by 2040," Paddy Hayes, Chief Executive of ESB
We want to build and sustain an increasingly diverse workforce and agile culture of inclusion and belonging, so that together we can make a difference and deliver a brighter net zero future for all. Our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is inherently linked with our values of Caring, Courageous, Driven and Trusted. You can find more information on our values and our organisation by accessing the About Us page on our website.
We offer a range of supports for all our employees including bespoke career development opportunities such as 'Pathways to Success' initiative targeted at women, mentoring, coaching, well-being offerings, volunteering opportunities, smart working commitment and programmes including 'Managing Successful Parenting Transitions' for all parents.
At ESB, we celebrate diversity within our workforce and know that we thrive as an organisation when everyone feels valued and respected. We are proud of our progress made to date and remain committed to sustaining a workplace where diversity is our strength.

Building better experiences and opportunities at ESB
Our inaugural Inclusive, Equitable and Accessible report highlights some of the steps we are taking to ensure accessibility for all our employees, employees with disabilities and customers with disabilities. We continue to engage with our partners such as AsIAm, AHEAD and OpenDoors Initiative to deliver inclusive workplace training and to promote the employment of people with disabilities into our organisation.
Our four Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups of individuals with a shared lived experience or demographic, and their allies. Our ERGs champion the voice of our employees, build visibility, provide community and drive our DEI Strategy within ESB. Each group has a lead and co-lead and is championed by an executive sponsor.
At ESB, we pride ourselves on creating a workplace where our purpose and values are at the heart of everything we do. Our people promise reflects our commitment to fostering an environment where you can thrive and contribute to meaningful challenges.
