ecars is the main sponsor of the exciting upcoming Electric Vehicle (EV) Summit - Our Drive to the Future - in Croke Park, Dublin on October 24th.
The shift to electric vehicles (EV) is well and truly underway, with more electric vehicles than ever on our roads. In addition, a range of industry and government initiatives are available to help people to make the switch to EVs.
There are more than 7,000 electric vehicles on Irish roads and the Government plans to increase this to 20,000 vehicles by 2020 and 500,000 by 2030. So what needs to be done to help Ireland meet this target and how can we support greater electric vehicle awareness and adoption among the public?
The EV Summit brings together policy makers and industry experts and EV drivers from Ireland, the UK and Europe to outline current developments and future trends in the expanding electric vehicle industry, and to help inform the shape of the sector in Ireland.
At the Summit, there will be speakers from ESB, Jaguar Land Rover, SEAI and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. They will address a range of topics and case studies, such as the key role EVs will play in taking fossil fuels out of Irish society; how to meet the needs of the EV driver as well as looking at advances in Electric Vehicles and batteries, including the development of superfast charging.
Building on the success of our previous summits, these and a host of other themes will be addressed at the 3rd National Electric Vehicles Summit on the 24th.
