The Board of ESB has announced the appointment of Marie Sinnott to the position of Company Secretary with effect from August 1.
Currently ESB’s Group Head of Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management, Ms Sinnott has held a number of senior management roles within ESB after joining the Group in 1989. She holds a Masters in Economic Policy Studies from TCD and a Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance from UCD Smurfit. She is currently an external member of the DCU Governing Authority Risk Management Committee.
Marie Sinnott succeeds John Redmond as ESB’s Company Secretary following his retirement from the company.
Commenting on this appointment, ESB’s Chairman Ellvena Graham OBE said: “I would like to thank John and wish him well in his retirement and to congratulate Marie on her appointment as our new Group Company Secretary. Marie brings a wealth of business and governance experience to this critical role in ESB.”
