ESB is currently developing over 5GW of offshore wind capacity around the coast of Ireland and one of the key projects involved in this is Sea Stacks Offshore Wind. The project is a proposed 800MW fixed-bottom offshore wind farm, to be located approximately 12km off the coast of south Dublin and north Wicklow.
On 21st July, ESB hosted a public webinar where the latest information from the Sea Stacks Offshore Wind project team was delivered. In addition, the webinar provided an opportunity for the public to submit questions or comments on the proposal. The full recording of this webinar is available here with all questions and answers to be published shortly on the project website – www.seastacksoffshorewind.ie.
A virtual public consultation room for the project closed on 6th June. There will be further phases of public consultation and more webinars on the project as plans progress. In addition, a further round of public consultation on ESB’s Foreshore Licence application for the project is currently open and will conclude on 9th August 2022 – see here.
