New EV High Power Charging Hub with contactless payment options in Collooney, Sligo

19 August 2025

We opened a new High Power Charging Hub at Sligo Junction in Collooney, Co Sligo in August. Situated where the N4 meets the N17, the new location provides easy access and increased convenience for both drivers locally and those recharging on longer journeys.

Key Features of the new ESB HPC Hub:

  • High Power Charging: Three 200kW high power chargers capable of delivering up to 100kw of charge in as little as six minutes, enabling rapid charging for EV drivers across the region.
  • Contactless Payment: The new chargers support contactless payment options, allowing for a seamless and hassle-free charging experience.
  • Strategic Location: Positioned just off the N4 with the capacity to charge six EVs simultaneously, reducing wait times and ensuring maximum accessibility and convenience for EV drivers.
Welcoming this announcement, Francis O’Donnell, Head of eMobility at ESB, said:  “Our customers expect convenience, speed, and reliability—and that’s exactly what we’re delivering. This new hub in Sligo reflects our strategic commitment to expanding a high-performance charging network that meets the evolving needs of EV drivers across the island.”
