The Carrane Hill Wind Farm is located on a shale hill within a range known as the Arigna Mountains on the Sligo/Leitrim border, approximately 20km south-east of Sligo town. The hill is the highest point in the range, sitting at an average elevation of 430 meters above sea level.

The wind farm features four turbines with a combined generating capacity of 3.4 MW. It can generate enough renewable electricity to power around 2,100 households annually.

Each year, the operation of Carrane Hill wind farm off-sets the emission of more than 9,200 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2), 120 tonnes of sulphur dioxide (SOˣ), and 30 tonnes of nitrogen oxide (NOˣ). This is equivalent to removing in excess of 2,400 cars from the road.

Hydrogen

We believe hydrogen produced from renewable electricity will play a critical role in the decarbonisation of many sectors.
