Commissioned: 2005, and 2009

Technology: 8 Vestas (V52 - 0.850kW) Turbines

The Mount Eagle Wind Farm is located just outside Castleisland, approximately 26km from Tralee in Co Kerry.

Mount Eagle was built in two phases: Mount Eagle I features six turbines (with a capacity of 5.1MW) and Mount Eagle II runs eight turbines (with a capacity of 1.7MW).

The wind farm features eight turbines with a combined generating capacity of 6.8 MW. It can generate enough renewable electricity to power around 4,300 households annually.

Each year, the operation of Mount Eagle wind farm off-sets the emission of more than 18,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2), equivalent to removing almost 5,000 cars from the road.

Hydrogen

We believe hydrogen produced from renewable electricity will play a critical role in the decarbonisation of many sectors.
