The Carrickatane Wind Farm lies within the Cullion townland, approximately 20km to the south of Derry town on the Derry/Tyrone border.

The wind farm features nine turbines with a combined generating capacity of 20.7 MW. It can generate enough renewable electricity to power around 13,000 households a year.

Each year, the operation of Carrickatane wind farm off-sets the emission of more than 56,400 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2). This is equivalent to saving on the annual import of over 12,500 tonnes of fossil fuels.
