At ESB, we are committed to working towards a more consciously inclusive workplace, creating an environment where all everyone is valued and feels valued, that they can achieve their potential and that their contribution counts.

Our goal is to build and sustain an increasingly diverse workforce and agile culture of inclusion and belonging, so that together we can make a difference and deliver a brighter, net zero, future for all.

        Beiyi Xu, Finance Graduate

"Advice I would give to anyone doing the ESB Finance Graduate Programme in the future is First, don’t afraid of making mistakes and asking questions, this is how you gain knowledge and experience. Secondly, as a Finance Graduate, ACA is key part of the programme, learn how to make best use of study leave and turn what you have learned in the exams into your daily work."

        Grainne Brennan, IT Graduate

"ESB stands out as an employer in IT as there is such a large IT department for a non core IT company. There is always a wide range of IT initiatives and projects going on to support the business.

The IT Graduate Programme has a strong focus on continuous improvement and learning, with many opportunities to develop and learn new skills."

        Powell Makaripe, Engineering Graduate

"As a graduate of electrical engineering in the Renewable Operations, I work with both the latest technology, and the changing and growing renewable energy sector.

As someone who is keen to learn new things, I look forward to being exposed to these new technologies. It’s an ongoing learning process, but definitely gratifying to be part of the renewable energy movement."

        Eoin Flynn Carroll, Commercial Graduate

"ESB’s Commercial Graduate Programme gave me the opportunity to work across various parts of a large organisation to enhance my understanding of commercial operations. With it’s three rotations you can gain experience in all different parts of the value chain, from asset development to being right beside the customer in sales and marketing.

ESB’s culture is one of collaboration and learning. People around you are more than willing to support you learn, grow and try new things."

        Ethan McGarry, HR Graduate

"I chose ESB’s HR graduate programme because the structured rotations across the different HR Teams really appealed to me. It’s a fantastic way to expand my HR experience and knowledge, and I love the variety it offers!  I think what really makes ESB stand out as an employer is how much they invest in employee development. ESB genuinely care about helping graduates grow skills and progress in our careers, which makes working in HR at ESB especially rewarding!"
