ESB ecars to give two months free subscription to support membership EV drivers during Covid-19

In light of Covid-19 travel restrictions in place, ESB ecars is aware that EV drivers are not using our public charging network in the same way. To support drivers during these unprecedented times and to applaud the efforts of everyone to stay at home, we are giving those on our Membership plan who are currently paying a subscription, an additional two months subscription free at the end of their contract period. This means that our members can avail of reduced per kWh rates for 14 months for the price of 12.

The per kWh rates remain the same for Members, PAYG customers and for those who availed of the introductory offer.

The ESB public charging network continues to operate as normal and our customer care line is available 24/7 on 01 258 3799 to answer any queries you may have.

We encourage everyone to continue to stay home, stay safe and adhere to HSE guidelines on social distancing and hand hygiene.

Who does this apply to?
This offer applies to all customers who have signed up to pay a €5 monthly subscription charge as part of their Membership price plan as of May 7th.

How does it work?
At the end of the contract period eligible customers will receive two months subscription free, so that they can avail of reduced per kWh rates for 14 months for the price of 12. You do not need to make any changes to your ESB EV Account, it will be applied automatically. After the two-month period, the subscription will return to €5 per month as normal.

Does this mean I can charge my EV for free?
The offer applies to subscription charges only. All per kWh rates remain as published.

What if I sign up for Membership after May 7th?
The additional two-month subscription free only applies to those who have signed up to the Membership price plan as of May 7th.
