ESB will be a Pride Partner for this year’s Dublin LGBTQ Pride Festival
This support is part of a wider workplace inclusivity programme which focuses onGender, LGBT+, Ethnic groups, Disability and Family
The first Digital Dublin Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, 28th June 2020

ESB is proud to announce its support for the Dublin LGBTQ Pride Festival by becoming a Pride Partner for the celebrations which, due to Covid-19, will take place online from the 18^th to the 28^th June 2020. This support is part of a range of workplace diversity and inclusivity initiatives at ESB which focus on the areas of gender, LGBT+, ethnic groups, disability and family.

At ESB, we want all our workplaces to be inclusive and vibrant places that support individuality and collaboration. BeMe@ESB – ESB’s LGBT+ Employees and Allies Network, aims to ensure that anyone who is LGBT+ can bring their whole self to work, every day at ESB. The network is active throughout the year and organises a variety of awareness programmes for all ESB employees.

Welcoming ESB’s involvement in this year’s Pride celebrations, Jim Dollard, ESB’s Executive Director, Generation & Trading and Executive Sponsor of LGBT+ Inclusion, said: “We all understand that Pride will be celebrated differently this year. At ESB, we believe this presents a unique opportunity for all our employees, especially our Ally Network, to demonstrate our continued support for the LGBT+ community. A key value at ESB is to be caring as we seek to create a brighter future for all in society, starting with our people and in our workplace. We believe that our culture of inclusivity allows people to grow and be the best they can be at ESB.”

This year, in addition to our support of Digital Pride, ESB employees will be involved in several online events such as webinars, quizzes, our Ally Awareness Programme, Ally Network coffee morning and Virtual Run for Pride.

As a proud Pride Partner of the Dublin LGBTQ Pride Festival, ESB will be taking part in the showcase event, the first-ever Digital Dublin Pride Parade – the fully interactive virtual Pride parade and concert will be free to join and will help bring Pride home on Sunday, 28th June.
